Machining & Robotics

In the realm of product design, I have experience with several programs, such as Onshape, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhinoceros, and Unity. In machining and product creation, I have experience in work with mills, lathes, laser cutters, 3DP, etc. Below are some examples of my work.

CAD 3D Modeling and Engineering Drawing Using SolidWorks

I grew my engineering design abilities through a CAD and Machine Components course, for which I've made several CAD part models and respective drawings. Click the PDF logo below to view some examples.

    Custom Drone Build

A personal project that I'm currently working on is building a drone using some open source carbon fiber frame components and 3D printed toroidal propellers, as well as a Speedy Bee computing stack. Click on the PDF logo below to view some of the progress.

    Egg-Bot

My 'introduction to robotics' project was creating a robot fit for combat and exploration in uneven terrain. The design concept was that the robot would be able to overcome a variety of obstacles through its egg-shape, as it would be impossible to place it in a situation where it wouldn't be able to continue moving.

    Machinery

    Machinery

Through working at EPIC-BU as a lab assistant and then lab student leader, I was able to grow my product design skills. While assisting visitors at EPIC has helped me improve my previously-gained abilities - such as laser cutting and 3D printing - training in the use of subtractive manufacturing machinery - such as the mill and lathe - has opened up new possibilities for my creations.

    Drill Punch Holder

A drill punch holder I designed and manufactured for the EPIC space using a manual mill.
